Brigid Doherty- MSPA- CPSP
Brigid is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist. She grew up in Newcastle and studied at the University of Newcastle, graduating with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours).
Upon graduating university, Brigid relocated to Canberra to experience living in a capital city. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including both public and private services, and has experience with supporting a diverse range of children. She has a strong focus on client- and family-centred therapy, placing the family's individual needs and circumstances at the forefront of her intervention, as well as using evidence-based practice.
Brigid started Little Chirps Speech Pathology after returning to Newcastle in 2022. She has a strong interest in supporting children with speech sound difficulties and early language delays, and is excited to help support families around East Maitland and surrounding areas. Outside of work, Brigid enjoys spending time with her young son, getting active outdoors and reading a good book.
